What's Up With That? #29: Hey, babe... care to see my Whopper?

First Hootie, now Hooters.

This just in, by way of The Superficial: That creepy Burger King and actress-model-Hooters spokeperson Brooke Burke have apparently made a love connection.

I'm warning you — the first one who makes a wisecrack incorporating the phrase "hot beef" is going to get a time-out.

You know, of course, that these human-mascot relationships never work out. But it could be even stranger. The Burger King could be hitting on Darius Rucker in his Brokeback Mountain cowboy outfit.

I just wonder...

Does the King let Brooke have it her way?

Hold the recall the old BK jingle don't you? Would I get a time out for this phrase too? The BK commercials are just plain creepy! Junk the oversized monstrosity in the BK suit before the rest of the world overthrows the kingdom!

Ever since BK aired the peeping king/stalker/bedmate versions no one could see this coming because... These commercials creep me out as it is. Who writes these things anyway? Steven King? Ironic that this name is not intended as a pun isn’t it? Just that it happens to be the name of one of the best horror novelists that I know. I have met him in person several times and he is actually a pretty nice guy. Now if we could just get rid of the BK creepy King mascot.

Well, she did just get divorced... I'm not sure if this represents a career upgrade or downgrade. (For either of them.)
